IT looks just like the beautiful 911 of old, but stand the current 996 911 next to the previous 993 model and you'll see some striking differences. It takes on many of the Boxster's styling features, most notably the headlamps and nose, and the long profile and roofline - today without gutters - run smoothly into the bulbous rear bumper. The rear fenders are nowhere near as pronounced, with the hind quarter now showing part of the tail light cluster. Utterly modern, utterly 911.
