THE Renault Sport dash goes down the same well-trodden path taken by most other sports-oriented hatches at the affordable end of the market. Metallic-look plastic inserts appear around the central fascia as well as the door switchgear, and the large instrument gauges have white faces. Housed under a large circular hood, the vital instruments use a dot-dash combination for their increments and are clustered around a display pad for warnings and indicators. A small separate display in the speedo arc shows the odometer and trip computer settings. A pod at the top of the dash houses an LCD panel for stereo settings, clock and outside temperature. The seatbelt and door-ajar warning lights alongside this panel, and most of those located in the instrument binnacle, are unfortunately visible when not in use.
