THE Scenic driver is provided with a footrest, an excellent seat-height ratchet and a steering column that adjusts for height but not reach. The steering column is the resting place of controls for the headlights (main and fog - the latter not provided on the Expression model), trip computer and (variable intermittent) windscreen wipers - the indicators are worked via the left-hand stalk - and a comprehensive set of buttons for the stereo. Electric front window and external mirror switchgear is located in separate positions on the driver's door, while rear window switches are to be found on the right hand side of the dash in a cluster that includes the instrument dimmer and headlamp angle adjuster. Central door lock and hazard light buttons sit on the dash fascia. Dynamique and Privilege models gain a front armrest which screws into the driver's seat and illuminated vanity mirrors. Cruise control is not available.
