THIS is an ageing vehicle, no doubt. The shape is distinctly Saab and somewhat ahead of its time at launch in terms of providing a hatchback with a touch of luxury. Yet, it's really inside where the 9-3 is at its best with an integrated driving environment and a high level of equipment. That boot space takes some beating too, although you pay for that with a lack of rear seat room.
