SAAB'S 9-5 Griffin is not the Swedish company's first venture into the heady $80,000-plus market, but it is the one most likely to succeed. With excellent performance from its turbo V6, lavish interior trappings including air-conditioned front seats and an overall driving experience that places it high on the desirable list, it is a very competitive luxury-class contender. The only real problem is that it looks like every other Saab 9-5.
