SAAB Australia is looking at introducing a certified used-car scheme to match those offered by its rivals.
Claiming that downward pressure on residual values was an "industry-wide issue rather than a Saab problem", Saab Australia director Ralph Stevenson told GoAuto last week: "We believe that the best thing we can do to address that is to ensure that our retail prices are where they need to be and maintain sensible and good marketing going forward." Saab recently slashed $8000 off the price of its 9-3 Linear, bringing the starting price down to $39,900, and this, according to Mr Stevenson, has had a positive impact on showroom traffic.
