THE Forester's luggage capacity with the rear seat up is 387 litres, while folding the rear seat down liberates up to 1692 litres of useable space. However, that figure drops to 1592 litres on the XS Luxury Pack model courtesy of the additional roof space taken up by the large sunroof. The without-sunroof figures are both up and down on the previous model, which had capacities of 406 litres and 1525 litres for the two seat positions. Changes to the rear bench seat are responsible for the slight decrease in the standard luggage capacity, while front seat and cabin alterations have produced the improvement in the extended load space capacity.
