SUZUKI builds recreational four-wheel drives with more off-road ability than most people who buy such vehicles tend to expect. The Grand Vitara is in its element once off the beaten track, but despite additional creature comforts introduced with the new Sports range, it remains more a dedicated off-roader than a RAV4-style, light-duty 4WD on the blacktop. A pity, for the V6 engine and seating versatility in particular are excellent.
