Liana repriced to $17,888

OVERSHADOWED by the success of its all-new stablemates in the Swift light hatch and the SX4 small crossover, Suzuki's slow-selling Liana has come in for a price realignment in an effort to increase its popularity.

Now priced from $17,888, more than $2000 less than its previous base price of $19,990, the Liana sedan and hatch is now claimed to be one of the best value for money vehicles in the small passenger car segment.

Liana continues to be powered by a 92kW/170Nm 1.8-litre fuel-injected engine with variable valve timing, which offers combined average fuel consumption of 7.0L/100km.

Similarly, standard features continue to include air-conditioning, power steering/windows/mirrors, remote keyless entry, a sports bodykit, foglights, alloy wheels and a seven-speaker/six-CD sound system with remote controls.

Standard safety equipment comprises ABS, EBD, twin front airbags and five three-point seatbelts.
