SUZUKI has increased the standard specification of its two top-selling models with the introduction of an upgraded sound system for both the light-sized Swift hatch and the Grand Vitara compact SUV.

In response to customer demand, both models now come standard with auxiliary input jacks to make them compatible with MP3 players and other audio devices such as iPods, as well as illuminated steering wheel audio controls.

Suzuki Australia general manager Tony Devers said the omission of these features in the Swift and Grand Vitara has now been rectified for no additional cost to customers.

“We are constantly monitoring feedback on our model range and these are two features customers have been asking for,” said Mr Devers.

“Staying true to the Suzuki philosophy of offering outstanding value for money, these extra features are included at no extra charge.”The improved Swift specification comes within a week of the release of two additions to the Swift range, including a $700 safety pack comprising a total of six airbags for the entry-level model, plus the special-edition Swift RE4 ($18,290), which is claimed to add an extra $5500 worth of features for an additional $1500.
