LIKE the Grand Vitara upon which it is based, the XL-7 uses ventilated disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The front brakes are 310mm in diameter and 22mm in thickness, the rear measuring 254mm x 64mm. Four-channel, four-sensor anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution are fitted standard.
