TOYOTA Australia has revealed a facelift of its top-selling Tarago people-mover, which goes on sale this month.
Exterior changes are limited to headlights, bumper bars, wheels and tail-lights, with the main emphasis on adding equipment.
The three grades - GLi, GLX and Ultima - continue, with the top-speccer getting the most new equipment and the biggest price hike.
Tarago is the defending VFACTS people-mover category leader, claiming 2925 sales in 2002, compared to the Kia Carnival's 2582.
It continues to lead the way in 2003 from the Holden Zafira and Carnival. But it was only third in the category in May as pre-facelift model availability dried up.
For each new model the details are:
GLi
ADOPTS single CD player and deletes the cassette player, adds rear power windows, 16-inch wheels and driver's and passenger illuminated vanity mirrors with cover.
Old price: $51,300. New price: $52,200
A new safety pack option consisting of front side airbags and ABS is also available on the GLi grade only for $1500 RRP.
GLX
REPLACES single CD player with a six-disc unit. Also new are front side airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels and drivers and passenger illuminated vanity mirrors with cover.
