VOLKSWAGEN Australia is offering a $3000 factory bonus on turbocharged petrol flagship variants of its Amarok and T-Roc ranges until September 30.
The discounts on Volkswagen’s Amarok Aventura TSI452 dual-cab utility and potent T-Roc R small SUV come after addition production volume for the pair was secured and comes as a reduction on the drive-away price of both MY23 and MY24 plated Amarok and MY23 plated T-Roc variants (as listed).
Volkswagen’s Amarok Aventura TSI452 dual-cab utility is ordinarily priced from $79,990 plus on-road costs while the T-Roc R retails from $61,990 + ORCs.
An additional $1500 factory bonus is available on MY24 plated T-Roc R variants, ordinary priced from $66,990 + ORCs.
Volkswagen says Australia is the number-one market for both the Amarok and T-Roc R globally, the duo its top-selling vehicles in the first half of 2024.
The Volkswagen Amarok Aventura TSI452 is powered by a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine developing 222kW of power and 452Nm of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive and offers 3500kg of braked towing capacity in line with most segment rivals.
Equipment highlights of the variant include IQ.Light Matrix LED headlights, an electric roller shutter, leather upholstery, 10-way powered front seats adjustment and heating, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, 12.0-inch infotainment array, and premium Harman/Kardon audio system.
“The second-generation Amarok has been a hit with fleet and private customers alike, especially with the Style TDI600 making up more than half of sales,” said Volkswagen Australia Commercial Vehicles national manager of product and marketing Nathan Johnson.
“Although we are on target for our 10,000 annual sales allocation, Volkswagen understands that a higher number of customers desire the flagship Aventura.
“The TSI452 with 21-inch wheels and a sophisticated suspension set-up in particular represents the essence of what the Amarok has always been known for – the best handling, most driver-focused ute in its class.”
For the Volkswagen T-Roc R we find a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine beneath the bonnet making 221kW of power and 400Nm of torque.
Drive is via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive, the variant further offering adaptive damping, lowered suspension, progressive rate steering, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Standard equipment highlights include IQ.Light Matrix LED headlights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, digital instrumentation, and a 9.2-inch multimedia system.
“With zero to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds and the precision of 4Motion all-wheel drive packaged within the T-Roc’s compact yet spacious form, this R is classically fast, fun and functional,” said Volkswagen Australia Passenger Vehicles head of product Michelle Rowney.
“The ability to deliver an even higher number of T-Roc Rs means that we are able to offer even greater value as supply increases.”
The Amarok Aventura TSI452 and T-Roc R are available in Volkswagen dealerships nationwide.
