THE Bora 4Motion cockpit has lots of switchgear and controls that are logically positioned and pose not great problems for the driver. The dash fascia has switchgear for ESP on/off, hazard lights and rear demist while the right hand side of the dash uses rotary dial combining headlight and foglight functions and ancillary switches for instrument dimming and headlight angle. Steering wheel stalks are used for the trip computer, cruise control, indicators, high beam and wipers (with two speeds, a four-position intermittent wipe and a rain sensor). The driver's door contains power window switches (which include a roll-back function and driver one-touch up-down), an adjustment knob for the heated wing mirrors and buttons for central door lock and rear window lock. A button on the centre console operates the electric fuel filler flap and the interior rearview mirrors dims automatically. No controls appear on the steering wheel, which adjusts manually for reach and height.
