VOLKSWAGEN has created a comfortable sports cruiser called the Passat CC.
The CC stands for ‘comfort coupe’, which turns out to be apt description of this interesting niche vehicle. It shares its basic mechanicals with the regular Passat, but the CC is a very different vehicle. Firstly, it looks different. In fact, every single panel is different to those of other Passats. The CC only seats four, but pampers them with heated leather bucket seats and plenty of leg and headroom. Volkswagen offers the prestige Passat in one trim level with two choices of engine - a 125kW 2.0-litre turbo diesel and 220kW 3.6-litre V6 petrol. While the diesel puts the power down via just the front wheels, the V6 petrol car drives through all four.
