VOLKSWAGEN Australia is in the midst of a massive SUV rollout, with the second-gen Tiguan the first of at least five more slated between now and 2021.

As a result, the popular German SUV grows substantially in size and price, but helps justify the latter with segment-leading safety, refinement, and choice.

This is truly the Mk7 Golf-ification of one of our favourite SUVs and we’re cautiously confident that Wolfsburg hasn’t so much hit as smashed its medium SUV targets with this one.

On first acquaintance, this is deeply impressive stuff.
