R50 Touareg from $130K

VOLKSWAGEN Group Australia has announced this week that its R50 Touareg will be priced from $129,990 and is now expected to go on sale in April 2008.

Well below the estimated $150,000 starting price, which took into account the increment other R-rated models attract, the sports SUV will use a 258kW/850Nm version of the thumping V10 TDI used on the “standard” model, which starts from $121,990.
