VOLVO is trying something a little bit different in the luxury small-car class defined by the Audi A3, with a jacked-up version of its recently released V40.

Dubbed the V40 Cross Country, it offers a bit more ride height, a smattering of off-road-style cladding, and a whole lot of standard features in Luxury D4 guise.

But is it worth the premium over the standard V40?
