Volvo’s XC90 recalled again

The latest recall involves just 23 vehicles fitted with the 2.4-litre diesel engine.
According to Volvo’s recall notice, a manufacturing defect on the pressurised fuel line can seep, potentially leading to a fire in the front wheelhouse area. It says owners might smell fuel.
Affected vehicles at in the vehicle identification number (VIN) range 551239 – 553207.
Owners are asked to contact their Volvo dealership to have the vehicle inspected and, if necessary, have the fuel line replaced.
In April, 40 XC90s fitted with the 3.2-litre petrol V6 were recalled for a similar fuel line seepage problem.
In another Volvo recall, current model C30s are being recalled to replace the owner’s manual because it does not contain sunroof operating instructions.
Vehicles affected are those in the VIN range 190001 – 204120.
So far this year, Volvo Australia has issued seven safety recalls, most of them for small numbers of the vehicles. The biggest was a recall was on 1320 XC60s for a potential steering oil leak.
