Holden's Commodore Ute workhorse received the same upgrade as the VF sedan and wagon line-up in 2013.
The Ute was available in base model, SV6, SS, SS-V and SS-V Redline specifications with a choice of 210kW/350Nm 3.6 litre V6 or a 270kW/530Nm 6.0 litre V8, depending on the variant.
Holden decided to test the capabilities of the Ute by taking it to Germany for a few laps of the Nordschleife section of the Nurburgring, where it scored a lap time of 8 minutes 19.47 seconds.
The Aussie car-maker claimed it was a world record for a light commercial vehicle, but that is because it was the first time a car caompany had attempted the 'Ring in an LCV.
