The V70 – like its S60 sedan counterpart – underwent a facelift during the latter part of 2004, resulting in a more rounded nose and new grille, clear tail-lights, redesigned bumpers, improved seats, noise suppression, safety and wing mirrors, as well as revised trim.
Active suspension dampers introduced in the 2003 S60/V70 R was now also available as an option in the single-model 125kW/225Nm V70 2.4 SE, fitted with a five-speed Geartronic automatic.
