AS MANY parts of Australia cop an icy Antarctic blast, Subaru has impeccably timed the launch of a special edition Forester featuring heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers with de-ice function and heated door mirrors.
It also comes with perforated leather upholstery, electric driver’s seat adjustment, keyless entry with push-button start, glossy finish 17-inch alloy wheels and continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
Priced at $34,990 plus on-road costs, the special edition commands a $2000 premium over the CVT-equipped entry spec 2.5i-L Forester on which it is based.
Subaru Australia managing director Nick Senior said the Special Edition’s extra equipment is the type “buyers love in an SUV”.
“Forester remains a firm favourite in our family-friendly all-wheel drive range and this special edition underlines its value on top of the proven Subaru traits of durability, safety, rock-solid engineering and retained value.”
