Recall: Ineos Grenadier steering fault

BY MATT BROGAN | 2nd Apr 2024

INEOS has announced a recall for its newly launched Grenadier four-wheel drive range this week, the model facing potential steering failure after it was discovered incorrect fasteners may have been installed on the steering linkage joints during assembly which may become loose over time.

According to the Vehicle Recalls website, the issue may lead to the vehicle experiencing a sudden loss of steering while driving which could lead to an increased risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The recall notice warns that owners of affected vehicles should stop driving immediately if they are experiencing steering issues and contact their nearest Ineos agent as soon as possible to have the vehicle inspected and the correct fasteners fitted, free of charge.

Ineos Grenadier owners are urged to contact their preferred Ineos agent as soon as possible or to call the Ineos Customer Care Centre on (03) 8523 1337.
