You’d have to look hard to identify the meaner-looking grey grille surround, wider restyled alloy wheels and absence of faux bonnet vents. Interior changes are limited to a crisper central touchscreen, updated instruments, a contrast-stitched steering wheel and coloured seatbelts, while the real updates are under the skin, comprising suspension re-tuned in Australia and the option of a new seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. But it’s the new sub-$30K entry point to turbo-boosted Veloster variants that will change things most on the showroom floor.
