Road TestCar reviews - Volvo - C30 - LE 3-dr hatchVolvo modelsOverviewVolvo compromises practicality for a turn on the catwalk with its C30 hatch5 Oct 2007 By CHRIS HARRIS VOLVO'S baby C30 was introduced to Australia in March 2007 with the hope of proving a veritable elixir of youth for the Ford-owned Swedish company. Aimed at the likes of BMW 1 Series, Audi A3 – and even the Mini – the stylish new three-door hatch was designed to lure customers from outside the Volvo fold. But the new car opens at $38,450 for the manual transmission C30 LE model and this slightly higher-than-anticipated pricing makes it a little harder to sell the new Volvo proposition, although the standard kit goes a long way towards justifying the dollars. It also looks neat, drives well and has excellent dynamics.
