Future models - Lincoln - MKSFirst look: MKS is Lincoln's luxurious futureFord's Lincoln luxury brand delivers an all-new flagship sedan concept at Detroit10 Jan 2006 FORD’S US luxury brand Lincoln has signaled its intention to use alphanumeric model names by revealing the Lincoln MKS at Detroit. According to Lincoln, MKS "strongly hints" at the design direction of its replacement for the brand’s flagship Town Car luxury sedan. While the current six-seater Town Car’s niceties extend to dual-zone climate control and wood and leather interior highlights, its MKS successor features heated and cooled seats with 14-way power adjustment, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive LED headlights, navigation system and Bluetooth and DVD-audio surround sound, plus front, side and curtain airbags. It seems Town Car’s 176kW 4.6-litre SOHC two-valve V8 and four-speed auto will also make way for a new 232kW 4.4-litre V8, mated to a six-speed auto and intelligent all-wheel drive. MKS is also the first Lincoln to feature 20-inch wheels.
