Future models - Maserati - GranTurismo - MCHottest GranTurismo races inMaserati unveils GranTurismo MC ahead of one-make European race series in 201021 Apr 2009 MASERATI has officially unveiled its race-ready GranTurismo MC which will be sold to “gentleman drivers” from October 2009 for about €135,000 ($A245,000) plus national consumption taxes. To be sold directly through the Italian company’s race outfit, Maserati Corse, the GranTurismo MC revealed at the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France is based on a prototype introduced last September at the Monza in northern Italy. As well as contesting some GT4 European Cup events during the second half of this season through a private team, Maserati intends to again organise a European single-make series using the GranTurismo MC in 2010. The car has a tuned version of the 4.7-litre V8, putting out 331kW of power and 490Nm of torque, and was developed with the help of official Maserati test driver Andrea Bertolini, who won the 2008 FIA GT Championship driving a Maserati MC12.
