The Gemini was fading fast, so Holden modernised the model with a smoother nose and plastic bumpers, new taillights and a complete cabin redesign.
Thinner (and galvanised) body panels also helped to keep weight increases down.
But power dropped slightly again – down to 49kW and 106Nn. But the Laser was unstoppable.
