Land Rover brought its petrol-electric plug-in hybrid Range Rover models Down Under in August of 2018, which claimed to be able to travel 51 kilometres on battery power alone, and consumed just 2.8 litres per 100km.

The English SUV was powered by a 221kW 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which worked in conjunction with an 85kW electric motor that is incorporated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Both motors combined, the PHEV delivered a total 297kW of power and 640Nm of torque.

All that allowed the vehicle to sprint from 0-100km/h in under 6.9 seconds, and reach a limited top speed of 220km/h.

The PHEVs were part of the facelifted Range Rover line-up which saw both cosmetic and mechanical enhancements.
