THE Range Rover Vogue remains the pinnacle of luxury and refinement in a vehicle that is at home on the city streets or off track in the outback.
Revisions to the six-model, three-engine line-up for 2011 enhance its high status, with a new V8 diesel engine and eight-speed transmission raising the performance bar yet lowering fuel consumption and emissions. The super-charged petrol V8 remains the performance king while the standard V8 continues as the entry level choice.

Family Tree: Range RoverTHE Range Rover has been the supreme luxury off-road vehicle for more than 40 years.
The current third generation L322 Rangie landed in 2002 under the Ford Premier Automotive Group banner, yet was co-developed by BMW while under Bavarian ownership and used engines derived from BMW’s X5 range.
A mid-life change in 2005 saw the BMW 4.4L petrol V8 replaced by a choice of Jaguar/Ford V8s – a naturally aspirated 4.4-litre and a supercharged 4.2 litre. The BMW 3.0-litre turbo-diesel six-cylinder lasted until 2007 when it was replaced by the Ford developed 3.6-litre TDV8 while in 2010, both petrol V8s grew to 5.0-litre capacity.
