2016 Geneva International Motor Show

The Geneva show is over for another year, and what a blockbuster year it was. Car-makers pulled out all the stops to show off new metal in what is one of the biggest motor shows of the year.

Audi showed off its new Q2, the smallest SUV in the German marque's stable, and what is likely to be a big volume seller for the brand.

High-end British brand Aston Martin revealed its replacement for the DB9, called the DB11. Boasting a 447kW twin-turbo V12, it is Aston Martin's most powerful DB ever.

Citroen hi-po shoot-off DS revealed its wild e-Tense concept, an electric-powered concept car capable of delivering 300kW/516Nm via lithium-ion batteries.

And Bugatti unveiled the Chiron, its successor to the monstrous Veyron. Powered by a quad-turbo W16 engine, it is capable of producing an insane 1103kW/1600Nm.

Japanese luxury car-maker Lexus will reveal the hybrid version of its gorgeous LC500 coupe, following the petrol version's debut at Detroit.

Toyota will reveal its sub-RAV4 sized SUV, which will likely turn into a high-volume seller for the car-making giant.

BMW will show off its stonking M-tuned V12 M760Li xDrive luxury sedan, powered by a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 making 441kW/800Nm.

Maserati has already given preliminary details of its Levante SUV, but more information about expected powertrains is expected at the show.

Opel will reveal its GT sportscar, which it has been teasing in the lead up to the show. Rumour has it that as a GM product, the GT could eventually make its way to Australia wearing a Holden badge.

Czech brand Skoda could reveal its mid-sized SUV that is expected to share DNA with either the Volkswagen Tiguan or the CrossBlue concept from the 2013 Detroit show.

And Porsche will reveal the new turbocharged boxer four-cylinder engines that will be seen in the entry-level variants of the Boxster and Cayman, further proof of Porsche's shift towards blown engines.
