STATUS: Closing in on Detroit’s lead as the premier US showRising in popularity, the LA Auto Show is now regarded as the second most important US new-car motor show.

Held from the end of November or early in December at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in California, it dates back to an event in 1907, although there was no expo from 1940 to 1951.

Since the early 2000s it has changed its name from The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show to simply the LA Auto Show, and has since become the debutante forum for a large number of international production models and concept vehicles.
