New models - Alfa Romeo - Giulietta - Edizione FinaleAlfa Romeo Giulietta Edizione Finale lobs from $49kGiulietta Edizione Finale marks the end of the line for Alfa Romeo’s hatch4 May 2021 ALFA Romeo is readying to send off its Giulietta to greener pastures but not before the stylish hatchback goes out with a bang in the form of the Edizione Finale.
Limited to just 35 units, the Edizione Finale is based on the high-grade Veloce trim with its $48,950 plus on-roads pricetag being $6000 upstream of its donor car’s.
The extra money nets buyers a series of unique cosmetic enhancements including yellow trim inserts, yellow brake callipers, carbon-look front grille, side skirts and mirror covers and an exclusive set of ‘dark miron’ 18-inch alloy wheels.
Befitting of the sportier exterior, the Magneti Marelli ‘Elaborazioni 1919’ sports exhaust system from the now-defunct Veloce S Edition is included as standard to help add an extra sense of attitude.
In terms of creature comforts within the cabin, the Edizione Finale’s kit list matches that of the standard Giulietta Veloce – leather and Alcantara seats with integrated headrests, dual-zone climate control, Alfa DNA drive modes, front and rear parking sensors, leather-wrapped D-shaped steering wheel, sports pedals, launch control, sports suspension, a 6.5-inch infotainment display, bi-Xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights – with the only real deviation being the addition of an electric sunroof, heated front seats and unique floor mats.
Under the bonnet resides the same turbocharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine as the regular Veloce which, despite the new louder exhaust, continues to pump out 177kW of power and 340Nm of torque.
As before, drive is sent solely to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with 0-100km/h dealt with in 6.0 seconds flat.
Three colours will be available – ‘Alfa White’, ‘Anodized Blue’ and ‘Magnesium Grey Matte’ – with Alfa Romeo marketing communications director Tom Noble describing the Edizione Finale as a fitting send-off.
“A fitting tribute for the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, the Edizione Finale celebrates the true Italian flair the Giulietta is renowned for, with sporty special edition updates that will make this a unique collector’s item for Alfa Romeo enthusiasts or those searching for a distinctive, rare vehicle,” he said. Alfa Romeo Australia sold 134 new cars through the first quarter of 2021, just 35 of which were Giuliettas with the bulk of sales being contributed by the Giulia sports sedan.
