New models - GMSV - Silverado - 2500Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD repricedModel year change brings new pricing, paint colours to Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD range17 Mar 2025 By MATT BROGAN A REFRESHED exterior look and colour palette are among the changes to the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Heavy Duty (HD) for 2025.
While powertrain, capability, and feature details remain as before, the model’s blacked-out front and rear bumpers, red recovery hooks, and 20-inch high-gloss black alloy wheels with black centre caps offer a point of difference for buyers – who likewise face a $3500 price increase.
Now available from $166,500 plus on-road costs, the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is available with three new paint hues, the palette now including Black, Cypress Grey Metallic, Lakeshore Blue, Radiant Red, Sterling Grey, and Summit White.
The Silverado 2500 HD continues to arrive as standard with leather-appointed upholstery, heated and ventilated front pews, heated outboard rear seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, powered sunroof, and powered front seat adjustment.
Instrumentation and infotainment screen real estate tallies 25.7 inches providing access to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity, along with seven-speaker Bose premium sound.
Under the bonnet, GM’s turbocharged 6.6-litre Duramax V8 diesel engine continues to offer up 350kW of power and 1322Nm of torque, the unit driving all four wheels via an Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.
Braked towing capacity remains at 4500kg, the capability backed by trailer-equipped Adaptive Cruise Control, GM’s In-Vehicle Trailering App with Trailer Profiles and its large vertical power-adjustable towing mirrors.
Year-to-date sales of the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD sit at 210 units (to the end of February 2025), giving the model a 13.1 per cent share of the Pick-Up/Cab-Chassis over $100K segment. Immediate rival Ram 2500 has sold just 64 units over the same timeframe, or 4.0 market share points.
