LDV eDeliver 7 electric van priced under $60K

LDV was the first Australian importer to announce a battery electric ute for the local market and is now the first to introduce an all-electric mid-sized van – the eDeliver 7 available soon from $59,990 plus on-road costs for ABN buyers.

The LDV eDeliver 7 will vie against the likes of the Ford E-Transit Custom, Peugeot E-Partner and Mercedes-Benz eVito.

Short- and long-wheelbase low-roof versions of the LDV eDeliver 7 are available alongside a long-wheelbase high-roof variant, all arriving as standard with air-conditioning, heated seats, dusk-sensing LED headlights, keyless entry, power windows, and a 12.3-inch infotainment cluster with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The eDeliver 7 also includes a long list of safety inclusions, such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, front and rear acoustic parking sensors, lane keep assistance, and a reversing camera with rear cross-traffic alert.

LDV says the four eDeliver 7 variants “redefines the boxy appearance of many white vans” with a new, futuristic face. The model is characterised by a “distinctive and design-lead front grille” and streamlined headlights and suggests the style may follow on later ICE-powered variants.

LED tail-lights flank rear barn doors with two-stage opening, while a single sliding door is found in profile.

Paint colours include white, black or blue.

All short-wheelbase offerings will be equipped with a choice of 77kWh or 88kWh battery packs sourced from CATL, the latter offered exclusively on the high-roof variant. LDV says the 77kWh battery can provide up to 318km range and the 88kWh option 362km.

Charging is achieved via an 11kW AC charger (approx. 8.0 hours) or a 78kW DC charger (43 minutes) for 77kWh packs, and an 11kW AC charger (approx. 9.3 hours) or a 90kW DC charger (43 minutes) for 88kWh packs.

The LDV eDeliver 7 is powered by a single electric motor driving the front wheels. The unit outputs 150kW and 330Nm in all grades. The driveline is offered in conjunction with three power models – Normal, Eco and Power – with Eco limiting the vehicle’s top speed to 90km/h to minimise power consumption.

Payload ratings range from 1175kg to 1350kg, and load volumes from 5.9m3 to 8.7m3 depending on variant. SWB variants measure 4998mm in length and the LWB variant 5364mm.

The LDV eDeliver 7 is backed by a five-year/160,000km warranty. The battery pack is warranted for eight years or 250,000km. Capped-price servicing covers the first six years/90,000km and is priced at a total of $1160.10. Service intervals are set at two years or 30,000km, whichever comes first.

The eDeliver 7 is LDV’s fourth electric vehicle alongside the eDeliver 9 (large van), eT60 (ute) and Mifa 9 (people mover).
