BMW searching for new PR manager

BMW Group Australia is searching for a replacement for departing PR and communications manager Piers Scott, who has been promoted to a similar role with BMW Group UK.

BMW Australia is trying to fill the gap as soon as possible, as Mr Scott is leaving Australia in February to take up his new appointment as general manager, product and internal communications at BMW UK on March 1.

Mr Scott came to Australia from BMW NZ in April 2010, but his replacement might well come from outside BMW, as the company has thrown open the position to external applications as well.

GoAuto understands a number of candidates have put up their hands for the role since Mr Scott’s departure was announced on December 13, but recruitment will continue for about another week.

Like Mr Scott, the new appointee will be responsible for promoting BMW and Mini cars, as well as BMW Motorrad (motorcycles) within Australia.
