Chevy Bolt engineer to lead GM’s global EV programs

Powering up: Pam Fletcher is now in charge of executing GM’s new global EV strategy, which will bring more than 20 new models to market by 2023 and is targeting one million annual sales by 2026.

Fletcher to oversee GM’s entire global EV portfolio, including 20 new models by 2023

- General Motors has promoted experienced engineer Pam Fletcher as vice-president of global electric vehicle (EV) programs, a new role created as the US auto giant commits to launching more than 20 all-electric vehicles globally by 2023 and has set a target of selling one million EVs annually by 2026.

- Holden is expected to eventually offer EVs given its parent company’s new strategy, however the Australian subsidiary is yet to commit to any of the forthcoming models built off GM’s forthcoming second-generation EV architecture that GM CEO Mary Barra recently confirmed would include a small crossover, two large SUVs (one mainstream and the other a luxury entrant) and a “low-roof car”.
