LDV donates G10 to Campsie’s finest

G10 seven-seat van goes to Campsie police by LDV to promote community engagement

LDV has donated one of its G10 seven-seater vans to the Campsie Local Area Command (LAC) to use in community engagement and crime prevention programs.

The G10 will be seen around Sydney’s south-west touring schools, businesses, community groups and local events as a part of the Campsie LAC’s crime prevention programs promotion.

Campsie LAC superintendent commander Michael McLean said the donation of the G10 was a welcome addition to the force.

“The provision of the LDV G10 in this role is a double win for the Campsie community,” he said.

“Not only does it provide our crime prevention team with transport to enable them to take the crime prevention message to even more people and businesses, it also frees-up a front line Police vehicle that would otherwise be used in this role to be used to fight crime, enabling the Campsie LAC to be more efficient and effective in beating crime in our area.”

With seven seats, a generous cargo bay with the seats stowed or a combination of both, it can be used to either transport multiple people or large loads of equipment.

The van was donated in conjunction with Parramatta AutoCentre – the local dealership for LDV.

Parramatta AutoCentre general manager Zafer Kara said preventative measures were the best way to tackle crime, which the donated G10 can assist in doing.

“It’s one thing to solve crimes, but it’s even better if the crime doesn’t take place in the first place as it saves money and protects people and businesses from the effects of crime,” he said.

“This is why we believe helping the Campsie Local Area Command with its efforts to stop crime before it happens is the most effective and useful contribution we can make to our local community.”

It is not the first time a manufacturer has donated a vehicle for promotional work with the police force, with Audi previously loaning an S7 Sportback and RS4 Avant, Mercedes-AMG a GLE63 Coupe, and a Panamera from Porsche to name a few.
