Lexus gifts UX300e owners with three years free power

Encore Platinum program and free charging included with purchase of electric UX300e

5 Nov 2021

LEXUS will launch its UX300e battery electric SUV to market this month with included free public charging, complimentary home charger installation, and access to its exclusive Encore Platinum owner benefits program.

The UX300e is now one of four models to include complementary access to Lexus’ Encore Platinum owner benefits program, joining the LC, LS, and LX.

The program includes vehicle loans, which may be booked via the Lexus App and collected at airports including Adelaide, Auckland, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, and Queenstown, or at a “significant number of Lexus dealerships nationwide”.

Additionally, UX300e owners will have access to borrow another Lexus when travelling interstate or to New Zealand and enjoy complimentary valet parking at selected airports and Westfield shopping centres.

Lexus Australia says it will offer UX300e customers free public fast charging of their vehicles for the first three years of ownership via a subscription to the Chargefox public recharging network.

Chargefox have over 700 charging locations across the country, all of which are powered by renewable energy. A full charge of the UX300e takes around 80 minutes when connected to a high-capacity DC charger.

Further, Lexus will cover the cost of installing an AC charger in customer’s homes, the system professionally installed by JET Charge, the recommended charging partner for brands including Audi, BMW, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Nissan, Porsche, Renault, Tesla, and Volvo.

When connected to a domestic supply, the UX300e takes approximately 6.5 hours to fully recharge, providing owners with up to 360km of driving range.

The ownership experience of Lexus’ new UX300e also includes five years of roadside assistance and capped-price servicing with the price of each annual service set at $295 (including GST).

Lexus servicing includes a pickup and drop-off service from the customer’s home or office, as well as the use of a complimentary loan car.

“Lexus is renowned for leading ownership and guided by the Japanese hospitality art of omotenashi to ensure we anticipate customer needs, appreciate the finer details, and develop authentic relationships with them,” Lexus Australia chief executive Scott Thompson said.

“Inspired by our unique heritage and those key principals, we listened closely to Lexus customers and committed to taking our Encore Platinum owner benefits program to the next level for the UX300e – and there is still more to come.”

Mr Thompson said Lexus will provide details of a “further ownership element” later this month, the same time it reveals pricing of its first battery-electric model.
