News - SAICSAIC opens second UK design studioThames the breaks: A –second British design studio for Chinese conglomerate SAIC Motor will supplement the existing centre in Birmingham it inherited from MG Rover in 2011. Chinese giant SAIC Motor opens advanced design studio in London for MG, LDV, Roewe27 Sep 2018 -SHANGHAI-BASED automotive giant SAIC Motor, which among its portfolio are the MG and LDV brands sold in Australia, has established a second British design studio in central London. -Referred to by SAIC as Advanced London, the new studio will work in tandem with the company’s existing British design facility in Birmingham, which will be renamed SAIC Design Advanced Birmingham.
