Toyota milestone

TOYOTA Australia last week exported its 500,000th vehicle and marked a two-decade export relationship with New Zealand.

The first car the company exported was a Corona wagon to New Zealand in 1986.

This year, Toyota expects to export 80,000 vehicles from its Altona plant in Victoria - up from 69,000 in 2005.
