It was the second time Mr Linscott, who works for the Jackson Motor Company in Tasmania, had taken out the top award, while Mr Trinh’s win was sweet after the McGrath Volkswagen Liverpool (NSW) technician had run second for the past two years. The two winners received their awards from VGA managing director Anke Koeckler and general manager of service, Phil Murray, and will now represent the company in VW’s global competition known as the Qualification World Championship. Ms Koeckler said: “I am impressed by the standard of skills shown in this competition and proud to have Jory and Chanh representing Australia in the international finals later this year. “This competition is a part of Volkswagen’s effort to acknowledge that the satisfaction of our customers comes from the skills and hard work by our service employees, and the importance for us as a brand and company to continuously motivate, challenge and encourage our service team.” |
