News - VolkswagenVolkswagen announces EOFY dealsDriveaway pricing for volume-selling VW models, free servicing for Amarok, Tiguan3 May 2019 VOLKSWAGEN has begun its end-of-financial-year (EOFY) sales push, offering driveaway pricing on a number of its models, including Golf, Amarok V6, Polo, Passat Alltrack and its light-commercial vehicle (LCV) range, while offering three years of free servicing on select models.
On offer until June 30, the driveaway pricing sees the Golf small car range start from $24,990 driveaway for the 110TSI Trendline variant, down from its previous price of $25,290 plus on-road costs.
The driveaway offer also applies to the 110TSI Comfortline ($29,990), 110TSI Highline ($36,990) and the GTI hot hatch ($48,990), while the hi-po Golf R is exempt from the EOFY discount.
Hatchback versions are not the only Golf variants to score driveaway deals, with the Golf wagon also discounted starting from $31,490 driveaway (compared to $29,290 plus on-roads) and the Golf Alltrack available from $37,490 (versus $35,750 plus on-roads).
According to the company, the Golf prices are the sharpest they have been since the Golf Mk7 was updated in July 2017.
Volkswagen has also offered driveaway pricing on other models, including V6 versions of the Amarok pick-up – excluding the top-spec Ultimate – which make up 80 per cent of overall Amarok volume.
The Amarok Core V6 kicks off from $49,990 – down from $52,590 – up to the Sportline from $52,990 and the Highline from $57,990.
To go with the driveaway pricing, all Amaroks, including four-cylinder versions and the V6 Ultimate, come with three years or 45,000km of free scheduled servicing – also on offer until June 30.
The scheduled servicing offer also extends to the Tiguan medium SUV range, which does not benefit from driveaway pricing.
Like the Amarok, other members of Volkswagen’s LCV range are also being offered with the driveaway pricing/free servicing combo, applying to the Caddy Van (from $30,990), the Transporter Van ($40,990) and Transporter Crewvan ($45,490).
People-movers including the Caddy (from $36,490), Caravelle (from $51,990) and Multivan (from $52,990) have also been given driveaway pricing until the end of June.
Other models to waive on-road costs include the Polo light hatch range from $18,990 (versus $18,790 plus on-roads) and Passat Wagon from $40,490 (versus $39,790).
All Volkswagen models come with a five-year/unlimited kilometre warranty.
Through the first quarter of 2019, Volkswagen’s sales have slipped 8.9 per cent, to 12,366 sales, with the Golf leading the pack with 3745 new registrations, ahead of the Amarok with 2076.
