Tesla’s game-changing luxurious all-electric sedan hit Australian shores in late 2014 and was made available with either a 60 or 85kWh battery.
The base two-tonne Model S 60 featured 225kW of power, which could accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 6.2 seconds, the mid-spec Model S 85 squeezes out 270kW from its 85kWh battery which cuts the sprint time to 5.6 seconds and the range-topping P85D adds an additional motor to power the front-wheels, giving it an all-wheel-drive drivetrain and a 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.4 seconds.
As standard, the Model S included 19-inch wheels, cloth seats, a flat black exterior and a huge 17-inch touchscreen media system. Options extended to metallic paint, performance suspension, 21-inch wheels, keyless entry, leather seats and a glass panoramic sunroof.
