Spider Series II

Just like its GTV Coupe sister, the Spider’s engines were the big changes, with the V6 now a 176kW/289Nm 3.2, while the lighter and easier to handle 121kW/206Nm 2.0-litre JTS replaced the sonorous old Twin Spark four-cylinder unit.

It retained a five-speed manual gearbox and is the sweeter Spider to drive.

Regardless of engine, the drop-top Alfa still makes you feel like a million dollars (or trillion lire).
