Audi Q5Second-generation Q51 Jul 2017 Audi launched its second-generation Q5 mid-size luxury SUV halfway through 2017, topped at launch by the SQ5 high-performing variant. While its predecessor was underpinned by an oil-burning powerplant, the new SQ5 was powered by a 260kW/500Nm 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine, upping power by 20kW but dropping 150Nm of torque. However, thanks to the new at the time MLB Evo platform, the SQ5 and its standard Q5 siblings all dropped as much as 130kg in weight. Sitting below the SQ5 at launch was a choice of one of two 2.0-litre turbocharged engines – either a 140kW/400Nm diesel or 185kW/370Nm petrol. Audi also lifted the in-car technology levels of the Q5, bundling satellite navigation, Wi-Fi hotspotting, digital radio, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard. Read moreWhen it was new |
