Chrysler VoyagerRG Voyager1 May 2001 The front-wheel drive RG Voyager was the fourth generation version of the pioneering American (though Austrian-made) people-mover, and added a little more of everything. An all-new body and extensive re-engineering made it more comfortable, bigger, quieter and safer, justifying the price increase – which still remained competitive anyway. It also looked slightly more distinctive, thanks to a bigger grille. All versions are powered by a 128kW/278Nm 3.3-litre OHV V6 engine mated solely to a four-speed column shift automatic gearbox. The model range reads: Voyager SE, Grand Voyager SE (Grand means long wheelbase – which greatly increased luggage space for all seven occupants), Grand Voyager LX, Grand Voyager Limited and the opulent Grand Voyager Limited AWD – all wheel drive. All models include anti-lock brakes, at least two airbags, dual air-conditioning, keyless entry, CD player, power steering, cruise control, power windows and power mirrors. The top-line models has niceties like a powered opening tailgate, powered dual sliding doors, power sliding door obstacle detection system when opening and closing, removable powered centre console and three-zone climate control.
