V100 Leganza 2.2

THE Leganza’s undisputed road presence was finally backed up with willing performance, thanks to Holden’s 100kW/191Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine.

But it was too late for the ageing mid-sizer. Astoundingly, its handsome V200 Magnus V6 replacement wasn’t engineered in right-hand drive, so it never arrived locally.

The model was left to peter out with no replacement in sight as Holden absorbed the Daewoo range in the dying days of 2004.
