Suspension and ride qualities were improved, and extra sound deadening brought on greater refinement. On the safety front seatbelt pretensioners were made standard. Service intervals were extended from 10,000km to 15,0000, with free servicing for 60,000km. A value-added 75th Anniversary Fairlane Ghia was announced in October ’00, while the ubiquitous Sportsman editions hit the streets in May ’01 and Mar ’02. Production ceased in December ’02 to clear stocks and make way for the June ’03 launch of the completely revised BA Falcon-based Fairlane and LTD series. Read more |
