i20

1 Jun 2012

JUST two years into its model cycle, Hyundai ‘s i20 light hatch came in for a major facelift in mid-2012 to bring it into line with the Korean car-makers’ fluidic sculpture design language.

As well as the fresh face, the little Hyundai gained a number of new standard features including trip computer, electrically-folding door mirrors and one-touch lane-change indicators.

A six-speed manual gearbox replaced the five-speed unit which brought with it a 12 per cent improvement in fuel economy to 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres.

The Indian-built i20 also scored a new rear bumper and indicator lights in the mirrors.
